Retrofit is a modernization of mostly older and no longer manufactured machines and control systems. By reusing (whenever possible) existing infrastructure and peripherals, machine retrofitting becomes a cost-effective alternative, as additional costs for tools, foundations, process flow changes, and staff training can be partially avoided. Your employees can continue to work as usual, as the well-known basic structure of the old machine remains after the conversion measures.
